Buckwheat recipe; Kuttu ke aata ki roti (gluten-free bread)is a healthy gluten-free recipe and contains fewer calories compared to wheat roti and is perfect/fulfilling during fasting or weight loss. Buckwheat has a high source of amino acids and we should include it in our daily meals rather than restricting it for fasting.

Ingredients-

Buckwheat flour/Kuttu aata-1cup (3tbsp for dusting)
Himalayan salt/sendha namak/fasting salt – as per taste
Hot water -1 ½ cup
Ghee- as per requirement

Steps –

1-Take kuttu aata in a big bowl/plate, add salt. Mix well
2-Add hot water gradually and knead the flour. It should not be very sticky or dry, smooth dough should be made. Cover and keep.
3-Take a small portion of dough, dust with dry flour, and gently flatten with the help of a rolling pin. Make sure to flatten it gently else it will break.
4-Heat a tawa and put the roti on it.
5-Take a damp cotton cloth and press the roti, gently flip the roti and again press with a damp cloth.
6-The roti will rise and start turning light golden. Spread some ghee over it and the healthy roti is ready to be served hot.
