Fruit vinaigrettes are a great choice to use as salad dressings! When made using clean ingredients, they can be a great option for topping your foods and veggies while trying to lose weight. When I was on my weight loss journey, I loved pairing my greens with some starch, beans, and a fun flavored vinaigrette to top it all off!
INGREDIENTS:
*Blackberry Balsamic Vinaigrette*:
2 cups blackberries
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup maple syrup
After berries have been reduced:
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp maple syrup; optional
pepper; optional
*Raspberry Vinaigrette*:
2 cups raspberries
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup maple syrup
After berries have been reduced:
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1 tbsp dried freeze onion; optional
1 tsp thyme; optional
1 tsp soy sauce; optional
1 tsp mustard; optional
pepper to taste; optional
*Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette*:
2 cups blueberries
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup maple syrup
After berries have been reduced:
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar.
I really like this vinaigrette as is, but if you are looking for a twist then you can add:
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
salt to taste
pepper to taste
