Fish curry also known as Macha ko Jhol is one of the Nepali Cuisines made with tomato puree. This is the simple, healthy and yummiest fish curry that is made with less ingredients. It is one of the best way to make fish curry. And the curry is prepared in Nepali style. Please follow the following steps for the fish curry recipe:

1.Marinate fish with 1 spoon chilli powder, 1/2 spoon turmeric powder, salt(as per taste) and 1 teaspoon of garlic-ginger paste. Fish can of your choice
I used 1 kg of catla fish.

2.Set the marination for 10 mins.

3.Shallow fry the fishes till they are brown on both sides.

4.To prepare curry, boil 3-4 medium sized tomatoes and make paste of it.

5.Cut 1-2 medium sized onions into small pieces.

6.Put 1 spoon of oil in hot pan and fry one spoon of garlic-ginger paste.

7.Fry chopped onions on the pan and fry till it becomes translucent.

8. Add 1 spoon of cumin powder, 1/2 spoon of turmeric powder, 1 spoon of fish curry powder, 1 spoon of chilli powder(optional) and fry it till oil oozes out from it.

9. Add 2 glasses of water and add fried fishes on it.

10. Simmer it for 10 mins and your yummy fish curry is ready.

11. Garnish with coriander or spring onions on the top.
