We interacted with the founder of the Healthy Baking Community on Facebook called OVENDERFUL who spoke about her journey and showed us a simple recipe to bake at home!
Munch on Healthy crackers with this recipe:
3/4 cup wholewheat flour
1/4 cup jowar flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp oil ( flavourless such as rice bran, sunflower, canola)
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp jeera seeds
1 cup chopped spinach
Water to bring the dough together
Mix the two flours together.
Add the salt, paprika, jeera and sesame seeds.
Mix well to ensure everything is evenly spread. Add the spinach.
Mix well so that it is coated with the flour spice mix. Add the oil and mix. Add only enough water to bring the dough together to make it rollable. Roll it extremely thin into sheets and then use a pizza cutter to cut the shapes.
Place them onto the baking tray which has been brushed with oil.
Bake for 15 minutes at 175 degrees C in an oven which is pre-heated at the same temperature for 10 minutes.
Cool off entirely and store in an air tight container.
