Learn how to make soft and fluffy Ragi Idly using finger millet and red rice. A healthy and tasty breakfast option.
Ingredients:
1 cup Ragi (finger millet)
1/2 cup Red rice or any rice of your choice
1/2 cup Whole Urad dal
½ tsp Fenugreek seed
¼ Cup Poha
Salt to taste
Water as needed
METHOD :
1. Wash ragi, red rice, and urad dal well.
2. Soak ragi, red rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds together for 2–3 hours.
3. Soak poha separately for 10 minutes just before grinding.
4. Grind all ingredients together (including poha) into a smooth batter.
5. Add salt and mix well. Ferment overnight or for 8–10 hours. or (Overnight)
6. Pour the batter into idli moulds and steam for 10–15 minutes.
7. Allow it to cool slightly before removing.
