Protein Power Pasta Bake
Makes 4 servings. 450 calories, 55g protein, 12 net carbs a serving.
This is a great high protein lowcarb pasta bake that helps you have your protein, keep your carbs low, and keep INSANELY full!
I’ve lost 150lbs eating high protein lowcarb versions of my favorite foods, including PASTA! I used my @kaizenfoodco high protein lowcarb rice, but you can use this recipe with any protein pasta or regular pasta you like.
This is one of my go-to healthy pasta recipes for my weight loss because it’s packed with protein, keeps me full, and doesn’t make me want to steer away from my healthy eating.
Here’s how to make it:
1️⃣ Grab a 6×9 baking dish. Spread 1/2 jar marinara at the bottom.
2️⃣ Blend 3 servings 2% cottage cheese with 1 tbsp garlic powder + cracked pepper until smooth.
3️⃣ Cook down lean ground beef with 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp oregano, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp cayenne, salt + pepper over medium heat.
4️⃣ Boil 8oz Kaizen lowcarb pasta (this is my high protein, low carb pasta) for half the time on packaging, then strain. Use whatever pasta you like, but my Kaizen pasta has 20g protein and just 6 net carbs a serving, plus it’s gluten free.
5️⃣ Layer it up. You have the marinara at the base, add three fourths of the cottage cheese over the top, top with basil, the cooked seasoned beef, the par-boiled pasta, pour the remaining marinara and top with the remaining cottage cheese.
6️⃣ Top with 1/2 to 1oz parmesan or mozzarella + basil.
7️⃣ Bake at 400°F for 20–22 mins until hot and bubbly.
Then top with some more parmesan and fresh basil, and enjoy. Save this for later and follow for more high protein, low carb recipes that actually taste good. And if you make it, be sure to let me know on SHREDHAPPENS!
