Getting your child to eat their veggies easily is considered the top parenting “win.”
Take it from a new survey of 2,000 parents conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Pirate’s Booty for National Snack Month.
Speaking of, half of parents surveyed said having their child request a healthy snack was a parenting win.
Fifty-three percent said another win was finding the kiddos already eating one.
That means they’re starting to make healthy choices on their own.
And if not, just trick them.
Fifty-five percent of parents do with the “stealth health” technique.
White lies seem to be the recipe for a well-rounded and nutritious diet.
And white meat always works.
Twenty-two percent of parents told their children vegetables were chicken nuggets, so they’d associate veggies with the taste of something good when it came time to eat the green stuff.
The Pirate’s Booty survey also found that 21% of parents are all about stealth health and puree, dice and grate veggies to sneak them into a dish without blowing their cover.
But results showed one of the best ways to get kids eating healthy on their own is to let them lend a helping hand.
