ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Mercedes-Benz Stadium held its annual media food day on Tuesday afternoon, showcasing familiar dishes and new delicacies.

“This is our favorite time of the year,” said Mercedes-Benz Stadium Senior Executive Chef Matt Cooper. “We want you to remember the food when you come to the stadium.”

Mission accomplished. MBS’s menu has been rated as the “Best Stadium Food in America” by USA Today two years in a row.

This year’s food items include the Birria Mexican Pizza, essentially a very large quesadilla cut into slices, and the Freddie Burger, which packs a surprising amount of kick.

For those with a sweet tooth, you can buy a regulation-size chocolate NFL football.

If you’re not the kind of person who likes a fried grouper sandwich with your sports or several flavors of cookie dough, you can combine popcorn, a hot dog, chicken tenders and nachos at an affordable price.

“Everything you see on there is $20, which is absolutely amazing,” Cooper said of the combination.

Then there is the return of the Rack of Rib Volcano, which is exactly what it sounds like.

With St. Louis ribs, a pound of mac and cheese, and a bed/moat of kettle chips, it gives Mt. Vesuvius a run for its money.

“Definitely three to four people can eat this,” Cooper said.

If you want something more high-end, Tomahawk steaks are available for suites.

It all makes for a calorie-packed gameday; your taste buds can’t lose.
