RECIPE:
1 c all purpose flour
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 c butter
2/3 c sugar
1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c buttermilk or sour milk
1 t vanilla
1 T powdered sugar
In small bowl stir together flour and baking soda; set aside. Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat and place in large bowl. Stir in sugar cocoa powder and brown sugar. Stir in sour milk and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture just until combined. Cover and chill until hard, about 30 min.
Lightly coat baking sheets with cooking spray. Drop chilled dough by teaspoonfuls onto sheets.
Bake in a 350 oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on cookie sheet for one minute then transfer to cooling rack. (I skipped that step.) Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
