Ingredients:
Toor Dal 3/4th Cup
Turmeric, 1 teaspoon
Green Chilies, 3, Split
Red chilies Dry, 2 or 3
Ghee, 2 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds and Mustard Seeds, 1 tsp each
Garlic, 3/4 Cloves, chopped
Curry Leaves, 4/5 leaves, chopped
Salt, as per taste
Onions, half Diced
Tomatoes, half Diced
Steps:
1. Pressure cook the Daal using either PIP or in the liner for 10 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally.
2. Set the Daal aside.Clean the liner, turn on Saute Mode and let the liner heat up.
3. Add ghee, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and saute for a few minutes
4. Add garlic and turmeric and saute for a minute
5. Add onion and salt and saute for two minutes
6. Add Tomatoes and saute for few minutes.Stir occasionally.
7. Add the cooked daal and simmer for a few minutes.
8. Hit ‘cancel’ and turn off Instant pot.
Serve over Rice or Rotis.
