In this episode Mrs. Padma Subramanian will be showing how to cook Peergankai thuvaiyal (Ridge Gourd Chutney) in village style and also explains what are the benefits of it.
First fry red chilli, urad dal, ridge gourd separately and let it cool. Later add salt Tamarind and grind it well with water in mixe.
Now in hot oil add mustard, cumin, urad dal, red chilli, curry leaves and the mixer stir it well some time. That’s all ridge gourd chutney is ready and serve hot or cold
You can use this for idli, dosa, curd rice, rasam rice, sambar rice , you can even use directly in plain rice and eat.
