I want to introduce you to a concept i’m going to include in a few of my recipes, but I also wanted to start off with a bit of a puzzle, can you see the mystery ingredient in this Spaghetti ? You wouldnt expect it as a normal

ingredient in spaghetti.

Its Carrot.

I grated three smaller carrots before I started cooking the Chorizo so that I could lower the calorie density of the meal. After the Chorizo was cooked, I added with the sauce.

As well as lowering the calorie density so I still feel as full without eating as many calories, Vegetables are also cheap, so it helps stretch the dollar a little further. The trick is going to be finding the sweet spot where its hardly noticable.

From this principle, I built this shopping list based on incorporating 1kg of carrots and 1kg of onions into a few meals.
