Welcome to Cookie Crafter, today I have come up with a healthy, tasty and yummy recipe of Masala Alsa or we can call it Cheat Haleem. Haleem is made with different types of Dals but here, I have used broken wheat.
Recipe
* soak one cup of broken wheat in tap water for 3 to 4 hours.
* cook the wheat in pressure cooker along with a small piece of cinnamon stick and 2 cardomom, little salt and water for one whistle on high flame and two whistles on low flame.
* take a kadai ,add oil, saute 2 big sliced onions, 2 tspn ginger garlic paste, 2 green chillies slit.
*add in the spice powders- 1 tsp turmeric powder, 2tsp garam masala powder, 2tsp kashmiri chilly powder, 2 tsp coriander powder and salt. once the raw smell goes add one small tomato chopped.
* when tomato gets cooked add shredded chicken( cooked with little turmeric powder,salt and pepper powder).
* to this masala drop in the cooked broken wheat and mix everything well.
*add one cup of coconut milkor cow`s milk and stir until everything comes together.
*garnish with some fried onion and coriander leaves and serve hot.
