Pudalangai puttu or snakegourd puttu is one of my favourite dish prepared by my mom with her unique style.
I have never had and heard about this dish in any hotels or in my relatives house.
Pudalangai puttu is a healthy recipe richly packed with nutrients and vitamins. Snake gourd is a ideal vegetable for summer and rich in vitamin A. The roasted gram is rich in iron and protein and can be used to treat anemia. Garlic is rich in vitamin c and boosts your immunity level.
Pudalangai puttu is a low calorie food ,gives you the feeling of satiety and helps you in reducing weight.
Ingredients:
Snake gourd – 2 nos
Powdered Roasted gram – 100 gm
Onion -2 nos
Garlic – 15 to 20 pods
Green chillies – 3 nos
Mustard – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Curry leaves
No need to add water while cooking as the snake gourd is packed with water it gets cooked on its own under heat.
