Hello friends,
In this video, I’m going to show you how to prepare a healthy breakfast or snack with sprouted moong, also called green gram.
The ingredients and procedure is given below:
Ingredients:-
1 cup Moong (Green gram)
1 tablespoon Cumin (Zeera)
1 bulb Garlic, cleaned
8 Green chilles
3 sprigs Curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 large Onion, finely chopped
1 handful of coriander, finely chopped
1 Lemon
3 tablespoons Oil
Procedure:-
1. Pour the moong into a bowl ad soak it overnight in some water.
2. Drain the water from the moong the next day and they will nicely sprout in about half an hour.
3. Coarsely grind the cumin, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves.
4. Place a frying pan on the stove and turn the stove on.
5. Pour 3 tablespoons oil into the frying pan and heat it.
6. Add the coarsely ground mixture to the oil once it is hot.
7. Keep stirring for about a minute to fry the mixture slightly.
8. Now add the sprouted moong and mix well so that the little masala coats all the moong. This should not take more than 1/2 a minute so that all the nutrients are intact.
9. Take the pan off the stove and transfer the tempered moong into small bowls.
10. Garnish with some onions, coriander and lemon and enjoy the healthy meal/snack.
