Low Calorie Chicken Pathiri | Kerala Style Chicken Pathiri Recipe | Healthy Chicken Recipes

Chicken Pathiri is one recipe you can make for an evening snack, a party snack or even a picnic snack! This recipe is amazingly delicious and hassle free. With mouth-watering chicken and a blast of spices this recipe is on top of our must try list.

Ingredients

150gms chicken (minced)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 cup onion, (chopped)
2 green chillies, (chopped)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp mint leaves (chopped)
1 cup wheat flour
1 egg
a pinch cardamom powder
1 tsp salt

Method

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add curry leaves and let them splutter.
Add onion, green chillies, 1/2 tsp salt and sauté till onion turns brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw aroma fades.
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and fry till it starts sticking to the pan.
Add 1/4 cup water and fry the spices for a min.
Add the minced chicken and sauté till its cooked and dries up.
Add the coriander and mint leaves and switch off the flame.
Knead the wheat flour, salt, water in to a dough and divide it into 10 balls.
Roll out each ball into small rounds, roughly the size of a puri.
Take 1 tbsp mixture and spread it on top of the pathiri and place another pathiri on top, apply water on the edges and seal them.
Beat the eggs and cardamom powder together in a bowl and keep aside.
Dip the pathiri in the egg and shallow fry in the remaining oil.
Serve hot with your choice of dip.
