Vada pav is a popular street food its filling and makes for a great breakfast.This is a non fried version of vada pav here we are not deep frying the batata vada rather we are frying it in the appe pan .It makes this vada pav an healthy version .Its quick to make as well

[Ingredients used]
For batata vada
3 potatoes boiled

For tadka for batata vada
2 tbsp oil
2 green chillies finely chopped
1 inch piece of ginger crushed
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
2 sprigs of curry leaves
salt as per taste

For batter for batata vada
Besan /Chickpea flour -1 cup
salt as per taste
Red chilli powder -1/4 tbsp
Hing /Asafoetida -3 to 4 pinch
Water as required
