Which bread do you eat? White bread, brown bread, atta bread, whole wheat bread or multigrain bread? Which brand of bread do you prefer? Bonn, britannia, harvest gold, english oven, mother dairy or la americana. Which is the healthiest bread in the Indian market? To find out, I bought almost every bread available online and offline. Thoroughly researched every ingredient written on it and have accordingly categorised them into 4 major categories.
00:32 – CATEGORY 1 – These breads have not even in a single ingredient in them which can be called healthy. From 100% maida to refined vegetable oils to preservatives, emulsifiers, improvers, regulators and what not. Unfortunately, all these breads are the most popular among the Indians.
01:00 – CATEGORY 2 – All these brands want to selInl their breads to people who are seeking healthy breads but do not want an effort to make them. Well, that’s because they have boastfully labelled themselves as wheat and atta breads but the real story is revealed when you turn the pack.
01:45 – CATEGORY 3 – Absolutely free from maida, these commercial breads are surely better than the ones mentioned in the previous two categories. However, most of them do have some additives.
02:30 – Why are so many additives added in commercial breads? Is it possible to bake bread without them?
