Oats Idli is a tasty and healthy #IdliRecipe. #OatsIdli is made with oats, rava, fruit salt and curd. You can now make this super delicious #InstantOatsIdli with Cookd’s simple recipe and serve it hot with chutney of your choice. Do try this recipe and share your feedback with us.

Oats Idli Recipe:

Oats – 1 Cup
Rava – ½ Cup
Curd – ½ Cup
Water – 1 Cup
Eno Powder (fruit salt) – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
Chana Dal – 1 tbsp
Urad Dal – 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig
Green Chilli – 1 no
Ginger – 1 inch
Asafoetida (Hing) – A Pinch
Carrot (grated) – 1 no
Coriander Leaves (chopped) – 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

1. Grind the oats into a fine powder.

2. Make tempering by heating oil and splutter the mustard seeds, add the dals and slightly brown them. Add the curry leaves, chillies, ginger and asafoetida.

3. Add the rava and oats flour and roast for a few minutes.

4. Cool this mixture.

5. Add the carrot and chopped coriander.

6. Add the curd and water and make a thick but smooth batter.

7. Grease the idli molds and heat water in the steamer.

8. Add the eno/ fruit salt and mix thoroughly.

9. Pour the batter in the molds and steam for 12 mins.
