Why do I avoid eating fats? 🥑

💭 Some of you guys have asked why I avoid fats when it comes to some of my food recipes and food finds.

Well I don’t exactly avoid it! When I’m in a calorie deficit, I just like to keep my meals lower in fats so I can save it for later during my day.

Fats is important in a diet because it helps regulate your hormones.

As I’m prepping for a bodybuilding competition, my situation is different, but whenever I’m in a normal calorie deficit for general weight loss, having a minimum of around 60g per day is what the body needs (some can have around 50g while being okay) and is what I would recommend!

I find that I’m the most peckish at night and fats has the highest calories out of the 3 macronutrients. So rather than wasting calories on cooking oils and heavy sauces in my recipes, I like to save my fats because I like chips and ice cream more than I like to pan sear my steak with oil.

But everyone is different when it comes to managing their weight loss! The most important thing when it comes to a diet is whether or not you can stick it. It doesn’t matter if you’re tracking calories, following a meal plan, doing keto, carnivore, idk – they all put you in a calorie deficit at the end of the day.
