Rava dosa is a simple, quick and easy breakfast that you need to try this weekend! It needs just a few basic ingredients and tastes super delicious.
Ingredients I used:
– 1/2 cup rava/semolina
– 1/2 cup rice flour
– 1/4 cup maida/ all purpose flour
– 1 tbsp sour dahi/yogurt
– 2 and 1/2 cups water
– salt to taste
– 2 green chillies, finely chopped
– 1/2 tsp jeera /cumin seeds
– 1 tbsp curry leaves, finely chopped
– 1 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
– 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
– 1/2 inch ginger, grated
– 1/2 tsp crushed pepper
– oil or ghee for frying
Procedure:
– Add rava, rice flour, maida and dahi to a bowl.
– Pour water and whisk it all together really well.
– Add all other ingredients listed above (except oil) and mix well again. The batter should be extremely thin and watery. In case it’s not , add some more water and bring it to a watery consistency.
– Pour the batter over hot tava and drizzle some oil/ghee on top.
– Flip it over after 2 to 3 mins, it should be completely cooked on one side and water should have dried out.
Enjoy hot with some chutney/sambar!
