This tasty recipe is a complete meal for the whole family. Can have as snack or in main meals. Perfect for people who wants to have low calorie meal options or who are trying to lose weight. Can have as a post workout meal too.
Ingredients:- (for 2 people)
Medium Chicken pieces- 250 gms
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 medium onions
2 green chilies
2 medium sized carrot
2 medium sized capsicum
2 medium sized potatoes
6 to 8 green beans
4 cardamom pods
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
4 teaspoons pepper powder
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Half lemon
Method
First, marinate the chicken pieces with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder and lemon juice. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Then,
1. Chopped all the veggies and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, and add a cube of butter.
3. Then add all the whole spices (cinnamon stick, cardamon and clove) in it and saute for 2-3 minutes.
3. Now add onions in it and saute till golden brown. Then pour the ginger garlic paste in it.
4. Next add all the veggies in it and saute for 5 minutes. Add pinch of salt and black pepper powder.
5. Now add the marinated chicken pieces in the pan and fry it for 4 to 5 minutes.
6. Add 2 cups of water. Make sure that the veggies are completely immersed in the water.
7. Put the lid on the pressure cooker and wait for 3 to 4 whistles.
8. Open the lid after 10 minutes and your stew is ready. Now can add 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder in it.
9. Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves and butter.
10. Serve it with toasted breads.
