I have enjoyed vegetarian or vegan sandwiches even before I started eating a whole food plant based diet. You don’t need meat or dairy products to make a sandwich taste amazing, be healthy, and filling. Find your favorite whole wheat bread with large slices then use your favorite veggies. I like to use Brianna’s PoppySeed dressing but you can also use a Vegan mayonase like the JUST brand of mayo. I also like Mustard as a healthy flavor adding ingredient to the sandwich. There is a lot of healthy protein in the wheat bread and if you put hummus on it you are getting more than enough.
