Today I prepared a versatile and healthy snack perfect for tea time, lunch boxes, or even as a tasty addition to salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Here’s what goes into this nutritious creation:
Millet: A wonderful, gluten-free grain that’s rich in fibre and essential minerals like phosphorus, magnesium, and iron. Millet helps in maintaining a healthy blood sugar level and is great for heart health.
Coloured Vegetables: We’ve added a mix of vibrant veggies such as carrots, bell peppers, and coriander. These are not just visually appealing but are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and dietary fibre, which aid in digestion, improve vision, and boost immune function.
Paneer (Cottage Cheese): A fantastic source of protein, especially important in vegetarian diets. Paneer is also rich in calcium, which helps in strengthening bones and teeth.
Rice Flour: Used to add a delightful crunch to our snacks. It’s a great alternative for those allergic to gluten and provides a source of energy from carbohydrates.
Herbs and Spices: To enhance flavour naturally while adding minimal calories. Spices and herbs are loaded with antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties.
This recipe is notably free from potatoes, cutting down on the starch and making it even lighter and suitable for those watching their carbohydrate intake.
