Popcorn is a light, healthy snack, right? In theory, but it turns out that most microwave popcorn has tons (tons!) of chemicals. It also turns out that making your own microwave popcorn is dead easy.

Making DIY microwave popcorn literally takes 5 minutes, from start to finish, and you can flavor your own! With real ingredients! This is a no-brainer people, for healthy snacking you can do any where, any time.

To make your own microwave popcorn, you’ll need:
* Popcorn kernels
* A bit of neutral oil, such as grape seed or canola
* A plain brown paper bag

1/4 cup of popcorn kernels makes about one serving and you can fit up to 1/2 cup (2 servings) in each regular-sized brown paper lunch bags. For each 1/4 cup of kernels, you’ll only need 2-3 drops of oil and whatever toppings you like—in whatever amount you like!

And, of course, a microwave!
