[Music] n [Music] good morning everyone today is day one of rehearsals I arrived here last night well actually not last night I arrived here yesterday around 2:00 and my travel day was so smooth I can’t believe that I actually had a a smooth travel day because typically I do not have the best luck when it comes to Flying to a contract but this time around travel was smooth flights were easy we landed on time and we’ve made it to California so I’m going to be here for the next 3 and 1/2 weeks or so we’re going to be rehearsing and creating the show on Utopia which is so exciting I’ve never experienced this before so we are building a brand new show and today is day one of rehearsals I’m so excited I did wake up at like4 to 5 Wide Awake could not fall back asleep I was tossing and turning I think just because of the time change because we are 3 hours behind New York time or like Eastern time zone so I woke up then I kind of fell back asleep but long story short I think the jet lag hit me a little bit but I do feel really well rested and ready for a long day of rehearsals we’ve got to meet the cast at 9:45 to leave to head to the rehearsal space I am one of the designated drivers for the cast during the rehearsal period so I’m driving the van I had to pick it up yesterday at the airport was an experience but it should be fine I got to pack some snacks cuz we’re going to be there until like 5:00 and I need to throw some makeup on and do something about this hair because I only sort of half-dried it yesterday I was too tired so now it looks kind of a mess but we’re here day one won’t be able to really show much of the rehearsals if at all anything we’ll see what we can [Music] do we need a time to pack the lunch not really pack but I think we’re ready to go we’ve got snacks skates vest belt bag I just got to get the keys obviously and then I think we’re going to head downstairs get the van round up the troops and then we’ll be on our way day one I’m so [Music] [Music] excited so exciting show looks really fun I would like to do it I see you all we to all of your gifts and your talents and every last of your talent um as we put this all together we have lots of exciting things for this show uh [Music] [Applause] we just went through the show and it’s amazing and now we’re going to get on the [Music] ice I put in FaceTime it’s not for me we’re in our last hour of rals of day one are we doing okay we’ll debrief in the car we’ll debrief in the car how you doing over there good how about you we’re great feet are hurting but and wet and wet very [Music] wet okay we finally made it back my feet hurt so bad so bad I cannot even tell you that was a long day like it’s 7:00 and we are finally home but it was such a good first day like so incredible and I’m so excited about this show we started the day with a bit of a presentation about the concept of the show we got to see some costume designs we hinted at some of the music and just some of the concepts that they came up with for the show and it’s unbelievable like I am so excited about this show I think it’s going to be really really really special um and I think we all were like everyone was so hyped about it and then after that we got on to the ice and we started with one of the numbers and went through that for a bit and then around 1:30 to 2:30 we had an hour of open ice so like everyone could do open ice and just skate for themselves if they wanted which I think everyone did that went really well and then after that we had a little bit of floor work and then we got back on the ice till the end of the day and we finished around 6:15 is but yeah it’s been such a good day the driving is actually not bad at all easy drive so that’s good it’s not like LA traffic so that’s really a plus for me cuz I was a bit worried about that and now we have the rest of the evening to just relax I’m going to try and get some work done even though like I’m just so tired and when I relax and read my book I need to cook some dinner because I bought all the groceries yesterday and I’m starving like I brought stuff to eat throughout the day but because we were so busy I didn’t do the best at eating enough I don’t think and I need to hydrate like I need a lot a lot of water all in all great first day I’m super sad to say though that we’re not allowed to show anything from rehearsals like even if I wait to record or I wait to post it until we open the show with guests I’m not allowed to show any of the process so that’s a huge bummer but just I have to follow the rules and it sucks because this is such a unique opportunity and it’s something that I want to document for myself and obviously to share with you guys so that I can look back on it because it is such a unique experience and it’s something that most people don’t get to ever do in their lifetime but it is what it is we’re not allowed to show anything so I’m going to try and figure out how to still upload I’m going to forewarn you I think I might drop down to one upload a week just until we start cruising that’s where we’re at I apologize it does suck I know but we’ll still make it work and obviously once we actually open the show I’m going to share everything I can with you I need to take a shower and I need to make some dinner and then I need to get in bed and relax I feel like I think a shower is the best thing to do first I cannot even tell you how much better I feel after my shower I absolutely love that this hotel has a kitchen like I was not expecting this so this worked out really well for us I think I’m going to make a little chicken salad tonight cuz I bought chicken lettuce maybe I will have some carrots while I prepare cuz I’m just so hungry I was like I think there’s only a pot but I found a pan let’s get cooking I never cook on these types of stove tops so we’ll see how it [Music] goes dinner is made I made a little salad with chicken Tomatoes avocado and olive oil and this is this is going to be it for tonight then I’ll probably eat those carrots and hummus if I’m still hungry [Applause] [Music] good morning today is day two of rehearsals we are up right and early the start time is a bit earlier today so we have to leave the hotel at4 to 9 so it’s about 7:15 just woke up I’m currently on my way to breakfast going to have a little bite to eat and then I’m going to have to prepare for the day [Music] [Music] [Music] it’s 8:42 we are just about to head down to the lobby grab everyone and make our way to the warehouse rehearsals So today we’re starting at 9:30 and then we’re going to be done by 6:30 so another very long day ahead of us we’ve got a little bit of off ice today lots of full cast work on like group numbers and stuff we also have warm-up ice so that we can just practice a little bit and more off ice so I think I’m finished it I think we’re all finished at 6:30 it’s kind of hard to tell but day two here we go I packed shorts this time so hopefully when we’re doing off ice outside I’m not as hot cuz yesterday it was very sweaty [Music] [Music] he we have 30 minutes break so we are learning how to do an aerial because I don’t know how to do one and our Master over here is teaching us can you show one nice simple the only reason I Cana do a backflip is cuz I did gymnastics when I was for like 4 years when I was little so I have a little bit of that in engraved in you yet it’s also part of the reason I can’t actually jump very well you fine our shows okay and we’re back home sweet home moreable it worked I thought it wasn’t working I can’t believe it so they didn’t make our room no why aren’t they making our room well I can call and ask I purfect a little bit messy so I would know yeah literally I was like for sure this is not approved is this what I looking like right now this is bad wow you can tell I’ve had a long day we made it back and they didn’t make our beds they didn’t make our room oh they took the trash though no they did yeah so what do they do and what do they not do that’s what I’m confused because I don’t think they changed our towels or anything they didn’t that’s what I’m saying like it’s not like selective it’s either All or [Music] Nothing dinner is served I made a little salad again it’s a mountain of a salad Sal it actually looks good and I didn’t have to cook the chicken because I did it yesterday so I’m going to I’m going to eat this now cuz it’s like [Music] 8:30 day three already days are going by fast I feel like I’ve been here already for a couple weeks and it’s only been a couple days it is pretty crazy it’s already Wednesday we’re halfway through the week and we’ve got another very busy day ahead of us so we have to leave here again at 8:45 just like yesterday and then we’ll get back around the same time it’s an over 10hour day which is pretty crazy but we do need the time to build a show and things are going really well so I’m looking forward to another busy day ahead yesterday we made so much progress we worked on some cleaning already some more of the group stuff that we learned from the first day and then I also learned a few new things so very exciting ha is not enjoying this weather clearly it’s a Friz ball so I might use my like heated round brush today because I just don’t want to look like a like a poodle it’s just after 700 so we got to go downstairs and grab a bite to eat because we got to be out of here at [Music] 8:45 it really is gloomy out I mean it it looks overcast outside but but then it clears up the second we start [Music] driving we’re ready for day three I just touched up my hair I feel like it looks a lot better than what I did this morning because it was rough but I also think I’ve been sleeping very strangely because we’re so tired that like my head hits the pillow and my hair just gets crazy so we’re ready for the day going to be another long day 9:30 to 6:30 I think it’s going to be tonight I really need to try and and do a little bit of editing and some work related stuff on the computer because I have not done anything since I’ve gotten here I’ve just been so tired that at the end of the day all I want to do is eat and get into bed tonight we’ll try but we’re halfway through the week I think our day off is going to be on Satur no Sunday maybe after today’s finished then we’ll be officially halfway through the work week hopefully we can plan something for Sunday to do together with our day off body is feeling pretty good ankle bones are hurting but it’s just part of the process I guess so here we [Music] go cofy boy Starbucks is here the put the intern on look at that yum I didn’t even know what the hell you were order Jordan what is that it’s delicious we are we’re having lunch outside little lunch break with the cast hello it’s video blog it’s video blog mhm and can I get one cold um iced mocha not cold hot small well sorry that was hot medium and like 10 minutes later where like at the end was like I’m going to repeat that back to you cuz I don’t think I got all of it and what she said was not was not correct at all and I was just like here we go again the person behind is beeping like hurry up day two of learning aiel maybe we’ll make some progress today we’re starting with handstands but I’ve got to be honest doing this after eating lunch not our smartest decision even better the second time around huh even better even better yes exactly your power thank you I wish could be [Music] softer oh I think I just did it there yeah I missed it hey it it was nice you didn’t just do it [Music] [Music] story time I went on warm up ice earlier and the ice was just made so was a little bit wet I tripped on a crossover and fell into a huge puddle of water so my pants were soaking wet like soaking wet completely down the legs everywhere but I was able to dry them so now they’re dry and I have to put them back on luckily I packed shorts today so I had a backup plan but we’re about to get back on the ice we did a little bit of floor practice for like an hour or so so I’m going to throw my leggings back on and then we’re going to get on the ice for the last hour of the day and then day three will be done another day done [Music] [Applause] much day four here we are we are ready for another very busy day it is overcast again this morning but we’ll see how it turns out I ended up not packing enough layers yesterday and it was a little bit chilly so I’m going to pack accordingly today actually this morning I don’t have anything until 11:30 but I have to drive some of the boys there so I’m going to bring something to do because I’ve got about 2 hours to sit but I’m going to head downstairs and we are going to grab coffee and then we’re going to be on our way I used my heatless curler Contraption last night and my hair turned out pretty good will it last during rehearsals definitely not but at least when I arrive it’ll look [Music] good so because I am one of the drivers I actually had to drive to boys this morning and I don’t start until 11:30 so we got here around 9:15 and I decided I would bring my laptop to do a little bit of work while I’m here I mean I might as well make use of the time and the last couple days I’ve been so tired coming home from rehearsals that I don’t want to do any sort of computer work so today’s a good day to catch up and it’s kind of chilly but I’m sitting outside because we have tables out here so it’s a good setup I’ve got a coffee doing well [Music] it is already noon so far I’ve only done off ice and we have warm up ice at like 1:30 so Trent and I are going to take a little Starbucks run he was already going to go so I offered to help him because carrying like 15 coffees is um is
