[Music] hey everyone and welcome back to healthy days my name is Melissa if you are new here I create videos helping people out along their weight loss Journey this is part of my weight loss salad of the week Series where each week I will upload a new salad for you to follow along step by step at home let’s go make it now this week’s salad is a fermented food gut healthy salad I want you to make the commitment to yourself to follow along with the recipe and make it this week on my channel you will find a variety of weight loss tips so go ahead and hit that subscribe button so you never miss a video I upload new videos each week so if you follow along with my series at home you know that I always encourage you to go ahead and screenshot this page or even pause the video so that you can jot it down quick L it’s so important that you have it to reference so that you can go to the store and pick up the ingredients to start incorporating this salad into your weekly meal plan I probably enjoy this salad two to three times a week at first I was a little intimidated by the fact that it was talking about fermented foods but that is the best part about it the fermented foods working inside of your gut do all of the work for you so let’s go ahead and go over the ingredients it’s four cups mixed leafy greens like spinach kale arugula one cup cherry tomatoes one half cucumber sliced one4 cup sauerkraut one4 cup kimchi one4 cup mixed seeds like pumpkin seeds sunflower seeds or chia seeds and one4 cup crushed beta cheese now that we know what goes into our salad it’s so important to remember to focus and be mindful of what we’re pouring on top of our salad for the dressing it’s 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tbspoon apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon honey and salt and pepper to taste I made the mistake where I would make up these beautiful salads and they were so healthy and then I would go to the store and I would dump one of the store-bought salad dressings well there I was undoing all the work I had done when I was building the salad so make the commitment to yourself to start making your dressings at home check out one of my other videos where I have homemade salad dressings that is one of the most important parts of your salad building creation and as you know all of my salads are so easy to make once you have the ingredients in a large salad bowl combine the mixed greens cherry tomatoes cucumbers sauerkraut and kimchi next simply drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to coat the salad and lastly we’re going to top our salad with the mixed seeds and crumbled feta cheese and serve our salad immediately and enjoy like I said the combination of ingredients is working to create such a healthy gut microbiome and you will hear me say over and over again taking care of your gut health is what is going to give you the maintained sustained long-term weight loss I am so excited for you to start making this salad and incorporating it in weekly and see the results for yourself if you are like me as you’re waiting for the results you’d love to understand why it’s going to work so the weight loss benefits of this salad include the gut healthy benefits of the fermented foods and nutrient-rich ingredients promote a healthy gut microbiome promoting the weight loss like I mentioned before I was a little intimidated to start thinking about making salads out of fermented foods but this combination just works the probiotics from the sauerkraut and kimchi also help support my gut health promoting and leading to rapid weight loss so there you have it and you are officially invited into my weekly challenge I hope you will make the commitment to yourself to make this salad this week and start incorporating healthy salads into your daily meal meal plan I’ll upload a new salad each week so you will have a variety to choose from and your gut won’t get bored and you won’t get bored and believe me you are going to love seeing the results as always thank you for watching I hope you will accept the challenge and make this salad this week and please comment down below if you plan to try it let’s encourage motivate and Inspire each other on our weight loss Journey remember weight loss is a gradual process it’s important to focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes consistency is key check out some of my favorite meal prep kitchen gadgets to help keep you on track for reaching your weight loss goals they’re all Linked In the description box down below you can check out all of my weight loss videos at healthy days in the meantime live healthy live happy live on purpose see you next time [Music]
