Kanchipuram Kovil Idli is traditionally made in kanchipuram.

It’s tasty and healthy recipe as pepper, Jeera, ghee and dry ginger powder included in this recipe.

In kanchipuram it’s made traditionally long in size as it’s said as Kovil temple style. It’s made with bamboo molds.

Ingredients required:
2 cups Idli rice or raw rice ( grind raw rice coarsely)
1cup Urad dal
1 tsp Methi seeds
Soak for 6 hrs and grind it. Ferment it for 8 hrs.

For tempering Idli:
Heat wok add
Ghee
Cashews (optional)
Jeera
Pepper
Asafoetida
Curry leaves
And main ingredient is Dry Ginger powder
