That’s right, get excited because we’re making a healthy, delicious, and simple protein snack recipe.
When I first started, I thought to be healthy, you could only eat chicken and broccoli. I finally realized Live Lean is not about eating the same boring foods everyday.
Unfortunately, many people are not aware of this, as they still think dieting requires eating nothing but boring and tasteless foods. We all know how that ends.
They crash diet for the first week, then throw up their hands in mercy the following week, and book a first class ticket on the sugar carb express.
Well I’m here to tell you, even when eating healthy, you can eat a variety of foods that are delicious. You may even be shocked that these delicious foods are Live Lean approved.
Today’s coconut protein balls recipe will be one of those shockingly healthy and delicious foods.
So do yourself a big favor and try this quick and easy snacks recipe. Check out how easy this healthy snack recipe is to make.
How to make coconut protein balls
Prep Time: 6 minutes
Servings: 6
INGREDIENTS
– 4 pitted dates
– 1/2 cup macadamia nuts
– 1 cup walnuts
– 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
– 1 serving vanilla protein powder (feel free to use your favorite flavor)
– 1/2 cup blueberries
– 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
– 1/4 cup sesame seeds
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add 4 pitted dates, 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, and 1 cup of walnuts to a blender or food processor. Blend together.
2. Once the mixture is blended together, add 2 tbsp of coconut oil, and blend just long enough to mix in the coconut oil.
3. Add 1 serving of vanilla protein powder to the blender. If you don’t have access to vanilla protein powder, feel free to use any other flavor. Blend.
4. With a spatula, remove the mixture from the blender, add it to a bowl, then add 1 cup of blueberries, and 1/2 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut.
5. Mix everything together with your hands, then add the mixture to the fridge, and let it set for 10 minutes.
6. Once the mixture reaches a consistency to be formed into balls, remove the mixture from the fridge, and form golf ball sized balls with your hands.
7. Dip and roll each golf ball sized coconut protein ball in a bowl of sesame seeds to add extra crunch.
8. Add the coconut protein balls to a plate and enjoy.

Recipe notes:
From a nutritional profile, macadamia nuts are one of the healthiest nuts, due to the healthy omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acid ratio. They are also high in monounsaturated fats, which may help increase healthy HDL cholesterol, while lowering unhealthy LDL cholesterol.
Even though I prefer this combination of ingredients, feel free to add dark chocolate chips, cinnamon, or any other ingredient you want. These coconut protein balls are unbelievably taste.
Who would have thought using real, whole food ingredients like these, could make something that tastes so good.
I highly recommend you give this coconut protein balls recipe a try.
