Ingredients:
3 Apple Wood Smoked Vegan Sausages minced (any vegan sausage will work)
3 TBSP Vegan Butter divided
3-4 TBSP Flour (Depending on desired thickness add more)
2 Cups Veggie Broth
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 block Extra Firm Tofu
1/2 tsp Turmeric
salt and pepper
1 Can Buttermilk Pillsbury Biscuits
Directions:
1. Bake biscuits according to package
2. Use 2 TBSP vegan butter to brown up sausage in a skillet
3. Add Flour and toast it with the sausage
4. Add broth and whisk/stir consistently to avoid lumps. Bring to a boil and simmer to let thicken. Add in black pepper and Italian seasoning stir to combine.
5. To another skillet add 1 tbs vegan butter and crumble tofu in. Add turmeric for color and salt and pepper if desired. Scramble tofu for 3-5 mis and set aside.
6. Once gravy has reached desired consistency (remember if its perfect in the pan it will be too thick on the plate as gravy thickens as it cools) assemble with a buscuit cut in half, topped with tofu, and then gravy. Enjoy!
