You will find numerous BESAN CHILLA recipe on the Internet but no one will tell you how much you should eat. Besan chilla is undoubtedly a perfect & EASY BREAKFAST FOR WEIGHTLOSS Also, it’s a HEALTHY HIGH PROTEIN DINNER RECIPE as well but if you will not work on portion control of the ingredients, even this will not help you in long term.
WHY MY BESAN CHILLA RECIPE IS SPECIAL ?
I agree that there are a lot of besan chilla recipes. I also agree that you would be knowing HOW TO MAKE BESAN CHILLA but as I said, the quantity of the ingredients matters. I have shared ingredients in grams and also, I have shared the NUTRITION INFORMATION OF THE CHILLA in video which will help you to know how much calories, carbs, fat and protein you are eating when you take 2 Chilla.
Besan chilla aka SAVOURY CHICKPEAS PANCAKES have become popular in western culture as well as people are more aligning towards VEGETARIAN & VEGAN LIFESTYLE.
Ingredients (4 Serves of Chilla)
100 gm Besan
40 Gm finely chopped onions
50 Gm finely chopped mix bell peppers
40 Gm grated carrots
100 gm Low Fat Paneer
Salt as taste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/3 tsp cumin powder
1/3 tsp turmeric powder
3/4 cup water
1-2 tsp oil for brushing the pan
Directions
1. In a mixing bowl, add Besan and all the spices. Whisk well and then add add water but in batches (follow directions in the video)
2. Now add the veggies and mix everything well and add water as desired.
3. Let a non stick pan gets heat up, brush with oil and spread the batter. Let it cook from one side for 4-5 min in medium low flame and then flip carefully. (Check the tips I shared in the video to make perfect Chilla)
4. To increase the protein content, pair with 100 gm fat free mint yogurt.
