WINTER SPECIAL METHI MUTTER APPE – Do you also make different types of appe at home?
🌬️❄️ Winter is here, and so is my favorite seasonal snack: **Methi Mutter Appe**! 🙌
I absolutely love making appe because they offer the same delightful taste and texture of deep-fried snacks, but with much less oil. It’s a guilt-free indulgence that’s perfect for the chilly weather! Methi (fenugreek) and Mutter (green peas) pack a nutritious punch, bringing all their health benefits straight to your plate. 💚
### Here’s how you can make this winter special delight:
1️⃣ Finely chop 1 cup of fresh methi leaves.
2️⃣ Coarsely pound a small piece of ginger with 2-3 green chilies.
3️⃣ In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup Bajra Atta with 2 tbsp Suji or Besan.
4️⃣ Add in 2 tbsp of finely chopped green garlic, the ginger-green chili paste, 1/4 cup of coarsely ground raw green peas, 1/2 tsp ajwain, 1 tsp Jeera, fresh coriander, and the chopped methi.
5️⃣ Season the mix with salt, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1 tsp chili powder, and 1.5 tsp dhaniya powder. Optionally, throw in Garam Masala or Kitchen King Masala for that extra zing! 🌶️
6️⃣ Adjust the batter’s consistency with a little water. (Tip: A pinch of baking soda can give it a fluffier texture!)
7️⃣ Preheat your appe pan with a few drops of oil and sprinkle some white sesame seeds.
8️⃣ Once the seeds crackle, add your batter and cook until both sides are beautifully golden. 🌟
Serve these delightful appe with green chutney or dahi, and they make the best companions for chai! Perfect for those on a weight loss journey too!
