Ingredients:
1 cup masoor dal (red lentils), soaked for 6 hours
1 tsp water (if needed)
¼ cup psyllium husk powder (for fiber and binding)
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds) for topping
Instructions:
Prepare the batter – Drain the soaked masoor dal and blend it into a smooth paste, adding 1 tsp water if needed.
Mix ingredients – Add psyllium husk powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well and let it rest for 5 minutes so the husk absorbs moisture.
Shape the buns – Divide the mixture and roll into bun shapes. Press nuts on top for crunch.
Bake – Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 30 minutes until firm and slightly golden.
Cool & Enjoy – Let them cool before serving.
Tips for Better Texture:
✔ For softer buns – Add 1 tbsp olive oil or ghee to the mix.
✔ For extra flavor – Add herbs like oregano, cumin, or black pepper.
✔ For a crispy top – Brush with water or milk before baking.
