Ragi also know as Finger Millet or Nachni is a healthy and nutritious cereal which is uses to prepare many recipes like flat bread and snacks. Ragi is also eaten as a main course meal as a substitute to rice as dish known as Ragi Mudde. Ragi Roti, Ragi Sev are some other snacks. For Ingredients and Method, see below:
Bottle Gourd (Lauki, Ghiya, dudhi)-500 gm
Coconut-1 medium
Millet Flour (Nachni, ragi ka atta)-400 gm
Salt little
Carom seeds powder (ajwain powder)-2 teaspoon
Jaggery-150 gm
Take grated half lauki, add grated coconut, add millet flour and mix well, add salt, add carom seeds powder, add little water and mix well. (You can add 4-6 green chillies and little coriender leaves)
Heat a pan, add oil, apply oil on spoon, make flat ragi ball and fry, turn upside down and cook for 1 minute on medium flame. Namkeen nachni dudhi fry is ready.
Preparation for sweet nachni dudhi fry:
Take grated half lauki, add grated coconut, add grated jaggery, add millet flour, add carom seeds powder, add salt and mix well.
Apply same process as above for frying. Sweet nachni dudhi fry is ready.
