I’ve worked out the price of this meal per portion based on my normal shop at @asda and the exact measurements of the ingredients used in the recipe.

Ingredients.
.
300g spaghetti
150g bacon (diced)
1 onion (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic (finely grated)
1tbs tomato purée
1tbs white wine vinegar
200ml passata
120ml elmlea light single cream
1 chicken stock cube
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Handful of fresh parsley or thyme

Method.
.
Pop your spaghetti onto boil with plenty of salt. Meanwhile add in your bacon to the pan. Once it’s starting to brown add in your onion and cook until soft. Add the garlic and cook for a minute or two then add your white wine vinegar and tomato purée. Cook that for another minute and then add in the passata, stock cube and cream. Once that’s all fully combined add in your cooked pasta and pasta water until you get the perfect consistency. Then and some fresh parsley and sprinkle with the garlic and thyme crumb. Serve and enjoy.

2 slices bread
1tbs garlic granules
2tsp thyme
0.5tsp salt
1 tbs light butter
.
Method
.
Blend your bread into breadcrumbs then add all the seasonings and mix together. Melt the butter in a pan and add in the breadcrumbs and cook until crispy and golden. Sprinkle over pasta.
