Ingredients per serving (makes 1 serving):
– 1 cup of liquid egg whites
– 1 cup water
– 1 tbsp green onions, diced
– 1 tsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp chili oil
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 1/4 tsp salt
How to make it yourself:
1. Dice your green onions into small pieces
2. Pour you egg whites, water, and salt into a small bowl
3. Mix and remove any bubbles/foam from the liquid mixture.
4. Cover the top of the small bowl with plastic wrap and poke a bunch of holes through it using a toothpick
5. Place the small bowl into a larger bowl/tray, and fill the larger bowl/tray with boiling water until it reaches almost to the top of the smaller bowl.
6. Carefully place the tray/large bowl into the microwave at 50% power for 6-8 minutes until the eggs steam and are solid, but jiggle. If they are sticky or very wet, they need to steam for a bit longer.
7. Once cooked, remove the small bowl from the water-filled tray, and remove the plastic wrap. Then pour your soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, and add your diced green onions on top.
8. Slice your steamed egg with a knife to create a grid pattern and enjoy!
