📌 How to make a baked zucchini pie in Spanish style

00:00 – Today we are making a light and cheesy zucchini pie for a Spanish-style breakfast!

00:05 – Preparing the zucchini
Take 3 medium zucchini. Cut the skin with a fork and cut into 3–5 mm thick slices.

01:06 – 5 eggs, salt, pepper and beat well.

01:45 – Add milk and flour
Pour in 500 ml of milk. Sift 250 g of flour and knead a smooth dough – it will perfectly hold the zucchini layers.

02:49 – Add dill
Finely chop a bunch of dill and mix into the dough – it goes well with zucchini.

03:24 – Preparing the pan
Line the pan with parchment paper and grease it with olive oil so that the zucchini pie doesn’t stick.

03:42 – Assembling the pie
Pour the dough into the pan. Carefully place the zucchini slices on top in one even layer.

04:15 – Seasoning the zucchini
Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, dried garlic, sweet paprika and Italian herbs – they will bring out the zucchini flavor when baking.

05:53 – First baking
Put the zucchini pie in the oven preheated to 180°C and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

05:58 – Grate the cheese
While the pie is baking, grate about 100 g of semi-hard cheese – it melts perfectly on the zucchini.

Sprinkle the cheese on top of the baked zucchini pie.

Put the pie back in the oven for 5–10 minutes, until the cheese melts and browns.

In a bowl, mix 2 tsp of Greek yogurt or sour cream and 2 tsp of mayonnaise.

Add chopped dill and 1 clove of grated garlic.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and add to the sauce.

Add a pinch of black pepper and stir. The sauce is ready – and goes perfectly with the zucchini pie!

09:23 – Cut and serve
Carefully cut the zucchini pie into portions. Serve warm with a spoonful of chilled sauce.
