Michelle Obama wants a group of kids she treated to a White House “state dinner” to return home as ambassadors for her anti-childhood obesity program.
The students were invited to what really was lunch after winning a nationwide contest to develop healthy lunch recipes.
The menu featured several of the students’ recipes, including the winner from California: a taco served with “Mic-Kale Obama Slaw” and “Barack-amole.”
Mrs. Obama says the students who spent Friday at the White House understand that “food is fuel.”
But she says a lot of their friends have yet to make the same connection.
