Steam Beans with Garlic & Sesame Seeds
Ingredients
Fresh green beans (trimmed)
3–4 garlic cloves (finely chopped or crushed)
1–2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp sesame oil or olive oil
Salt to taste
A pinch of black pepper or green chili (optional)
Recipe
Steam the Beans
Place the beans in a steamer for 4–5 minutes until they turn bright green and slightly tender (don’t overcook; they should stay crisp
Heat sesame oil in a pan over low heat.
Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden.
Add sesame seeds and roast for 20–30 seconds until they release a nutty aroma.
Add the steamed beans to the pan and toss well so they get coated with the garlic-sesame mix. Cover it for 5 mins.
Add salt and pepper.
