Protein is a basic requirement for muscle strength. It is highly recommended that a person should eat protein after workout as protein enhances muscle quality and reduces muscle pain.
For vegetarians, dairy products like paneer and curd are good source of protein. Curd also plays very important role in digestion. Whole mung beans are protein source of plant origin. Mung beans are rich in magnesium, potassium and fibre which helps to reduce blood pressure. Antioxidants present in mung beans may reduce risk of chronic diseases.
Ginger and cumin powder not only give good flavor to sandwich but they also help in relieving nausea and gastrointestinal irritation. Now when we have so many nutritious ingredients then we must include a good and healthy fat like desi ghee in the mix. It can also be replaced with olive oil or any other edible oil.
You can enjoy this recipe with tomato ketchup or chutney.

Ingredients :-
3-4 nos. – Curry leaves
1-2 nos. – Green chillies
1 inch – Ginger
Half cup – Paneer
Half cup – Boiled whole mung beans
1 tsp – Red chilli powder
1 tsp – Cumin powder
1 tsp – Turmeric
2 tsp – Salt
1/4 cup – Curd
1 tbsp – Ghee
4-6 nos. – Whole wheat bread slices
Instructions :-
1. In a mixer grinder, add curry leaves, green chillies, ginger, paneer, boiled whole mung beans, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric, salt and curd. Make a paste like consistency.
2. Apply ghee on whole wheat bread slices and spread it evenly on slices.
3. Now add tomato slices on it and sprinkle chaat masla onto it. Cover it with other bread slice.
4. Heat a tawa with ghee on it, and put this sandwich on tawa
5. Roast it till it becomes golden in color from both the sides.
6. And healthy protein sandwich is ready, serve hot.
