We present to you the most healthy, delicious and mouth watering Spiced Lamb Burger you will ever try! It is perfect for low fat and low carb diets, providing ample amounts of nutrients, iron and vitamins. Below is the full recipe!
____Healthy Spiced Lamb Burger_____
Prep time: 15 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
-500g Minced Lamb (85% Meat 15% fat)
– 1 small finely chopped onion
– 2 minced garlic cloves
– Handful of spinach finely chopped
– 1 1/2 medium sized carrots finely chopped
– 3 small stalks of celery finely chopped
– 1 Tbsp of water
– 1 egg
– 1/3 cup chopped mushrooms
– 1 tsp salt (or add per your taste)
– pepper As per your taste
– 1tsp of any few selected spices
– 2tbsp meat masala
– 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
To assemble the Burger:
– 1 Tbsp caramelised onions (optional)
– 2 lettuce leaves
-sauce
-Burger buns
-cooked patty
* how you assemble your burger is completely up to you*
Method
-start by finely chopping all your veggies
– Take a pan and heat up, then add 1 tsp of oil
– add the chopped onions, sautés for 2 minutes until transparent, and then add minced garlic and sauté until the raw smell goes away
– add the chopped celery and carrot and cook until soft (7 minutes)
-set the mixture aside
– take a bowl and add the minced lamb, chopped spinach, chopped mushrooms and the egg
-Add the cooked mixture from before
– add in salt and pepper per your taste
– add your spices 1tsp of everything (we used herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, chilli, and meat masala)
– add the chopped coriander and mix the mixture all together
– use a 1/3 cup and scoop out the mixture, and then shape into patties.
– Heat a pan with oil on low to medium heat. Then add 2tsp of oil
– add the Lamb patties into the pan
– cook on low to medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side
– once done cooking, remove the patties from the pan and rest on a surface for 5 minutes before serving.
– Assemble the burger per your preference.
-serve with juice and enjoy!
