Ingredients:
Sourdough bread slices
Cheese spread (as needed)
Cottage cheese – 100 g
Lettuce leaves
Mushrooms – pan-fried
Chilli basil sauce (or sauce of your choice)
Butter or olive oil (for toasting)
Method:
1. Lightly toast the sourdough bread until crisp and golden.
2. Pan-fry mushrooms on medium heat until soft and slightly golden.
3. In a bowl, coat the cottage cheese with chilli basil sauce.
4. Spread cheese spread on the toasted bread.
5. Layer lettuce leaves, saucy cottage cheese, and pan-fried mushrooms.
6. Close with another slice, slice it up, and enjoy warm!
