In this video, I’m making a low-carb, keto-friendly chia seed and flax seed bread that’s simple to prepare, incredibly filling, and packed with fiber and healthy fats.
This recipe is especially great if you’re looking to:
(1) Reduce carbs without giving up bread-like foods
(2) Increase fiber intake
(3) Add more omega-3 fats to your diet
(4) Build a reliable keto bread base you can customize
The process is straightforward, the ingredients are minimal, and the final result turned out surprisingly delicious. If you omit the sunflower seeds, this bread comes out to roughly 4 net carbs for the entire loaf, making it an excellent option for strict keto or very low-carb diets.
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it works as a foundation. You can easily build on it with:
(a) Different seasonings
(b) Herbs
(c) Keto-friendly add-ins
(d) Alternative seed combinations
🥣 Ingredients
2 tbsp chia seeds + 4 tbsp water
150 g flax seeds
50 g sunflower seeds (toasted)
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
200 ml water
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Everything Bagel Seasoning (for topping)
(Tip: Skip the sunflower seeds to make this bread extremely low carb.)
🔥 Why This Bread Works
– High fiber helps with fullness and digestion
– Flax & chia provide omega-3 fatty acids
– No flour, no sugar, no grains
– Easy to prep and consistent results
If you’re keto, low-carb, or just looking for a nutrient-dense bread alternative, this recipe is absolutely worth trying.
