Healthy Recipes 1 – Cooking Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps. Playlist for Easy Healthy Recipes.
In this video we will be showing you how to cook a lettuce wrap using ground beef recipes. This recipe is something everyone can follow and it is pretty quick and easy to cook as well. This can be for lunch or one of your easy dinner recipes. All the ingredients are below if you were not able to write everything down. The total time for this meal including preparation is around 45 minutes.
We first started off with chopping all the peppers. Pretty much just getting everything prepared to cook. Once all the peppers were chopped we then went and chop the garlic, onions and the cilantro as well. We used fresh parsley as well. I recommend when able to use fresh fruits and vegetables with all of your healthy recipes. Once everything was chopped we set it to the side and turned on the skillet to medium. Once the skillet got a little hot we added in the oil and let that sit. As the oil was getting warmer we later added only the onions and gave it a little stir. While the onions were being sautéed we added in the ground beef. We seasoned with garlic salt and pepper and chopped it up to let it finish cooking together. While those were cooking we grabbed the pot and added about 3 cups of water. Once brought to a boil we added 2 bouillon cubes and gave it a stir. Once the cubes were mixed in and melted we added the cups of rice
As the ground beef began to get darker this means it close to being done. At this point we begin to add all the other vegetables along with the other seasonings. Give it about 8 minutes to mix everything in and then add the corn. Stir for about 5mins and let it settle. After another 15minutes check on it. At this point we turned the heat down a little so that we wouldn’t burn the meat and ruin the recipe. You do not want the ground beef to be hard and dry but rather soft with a little moisture to it. The moisture means the flavor and juices are still inside.
Once everything seems to be cooked thoroughly you can add the rice and let it settle. Give it a stir few times on low heat or simmer.
You can now begin to prepare you plate for this healthy recipe. The type of lettuce we used is romaine hearts. This is considered one of the healthy recipes because we are substituting the tortilla for the romaine hearts focusing more on the vegetables and getting rid of some of the carbs.
Now that everything is done you can prepare this much like a taco but substituting the tortilla for the romaine hearts. I feel this is much better because it gives you that extra fresh, crisp crunch from lettuce on each bite leaving you wanting to make another.

1 Can Black Beans
2 Cups Brown or White Rice
Large Romaine Hearts
1 Cup Sweet Corn
½ White Onion Chopped
½ Red Pepper Chopped
½ Green Pepper Chopped
3 Garlic Cloves Chopped
½ Cup Cilantro Chopped
Juice of 1 Lime
½ Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
½ Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Cumin
2 Chicken Bouillon cubes (optional)
Top with
Pinch Shredded Cheese (Cheddar)
