Ingredients per 3 servings (makes 3 servings):
– 1 whole cornish hen, raw (roughly 22 oz)
– 1 yellow onion, sliced
– 1 apple, sliced
– 1/2 head napa cabbage
– 2 slices of ginger
– salt & pepper to taste
Dipping Sauce:
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 1 green onion
How to make it yourself:
1. Dice your onions, apples, green onion and napa cabbage.
2. Peel your ginger.
3. In a large pot add in your onions, apples, napa cabbage, ginger, and Cornish hen.
4. Cover the pot with a lid and keep it on low heat for 50 minutes and until the hen is fully cooked through and the soup base starts to rise
5. In a small bowl mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, and your diced green onions to make your dipping sauce
6. In a bowl, pour a third of the soup, a third of the veggies, and a third of the meat and dip it in your dipping sauce and enjoy.
