As a mom living in the USA, I’m always trying to make everyday meals more nutritious without compromising on taste 💛
So I upgraded our regular chapati into this power-packed multigrain chapati — soft, wholesome, and full of protein, fiber & goodness!
Perfect for growing kids and Family ✨

🥣 Ingredients
• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• 3 tbsp ragi flour
• 3 tbsp yellow corn flour
• 3 tbsp roasted chana flour ( i grind some roasted chana to flour)
• 3 tbsp soyabean flour
• 1 tbsp flaxseed powder
• 1 tsp crushed ajwain (carom seeds)
• 1/4 tsp hing (asafoetida)
• ~1.5 cups warm water (as needed)
•. 2 tbsp oil

👩‍🍳 Method
1. In a bowl, mix all the flours, flaxseed powder, ajwain , oil& hing
2. Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft dough
3. Cover & rest for 20-25 minutes
4. Divide into small balls and roll into chapatis of medium thickness, not too thick or thin
5. Cook on a medium hot tawa on one side
6. Flip and cook the other side until light brown spots appear
7. Once cooked from both sides on tawa, place it on direct high gas flame
8. Flip gently to puff up (don’t overcook on flame)
9. Apply ghee (optional) & serve warm

First cook on tawa, then straight to the flame for that soft, perfectly puffed phulka 🔥
