Guacamole on Whole Wheat Sourdough Toast 🥑
A quick, fresh, and satisfying breakfast
Ingredients:
* 1 ripe avocado
* 1 small onion (finely chopped)
* 1 small tomato (deseeded and finely chopped)
* Black salt, to taste
* Black pepper, to taste
* Lemon juice (a few drops)
* 1–2 slices whole wheat sourdough bread
* Butter (for toasting)
⸻
Method:
1. Prep the vegetables
Finely chop the onion into very small pieces. Chop the tomato as well, making sure to remove the inner juicy pulp and seeds to avoid making the mixture soggy.
2. Remove excess moisture
Add a pinch of salt to the chopped onion and tomato. Let it sit for about 5 minutes so the excess water releases.
Then transfer it to a strainer and gently press to remove the moisture.
3. Make the guacamole mix
In a bowl, mash the avocado using a fork until smooth but slightly chunky.
Add the drained onion and tomato mixture.
4. Season it
Add black salt, black pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix everything well.
5. Toast the bread
Heat a tawa and lightly toast the whole wheat sourdough bread with a bit of butter until golden and crisp.
6. Assemble
Spread the prepared guacamole generously over the warm toasted bread.

Serve immediately and enjoy a fresh, wholesome breakfast 🌿
