300 g radishes;
50 ml soy sauce;
1 tablespoon lemon juice;
5 small garlic cloves;
1 tablespoon olive oil;
1 teaspoon honey;

If you don’t even feel like slicing, you can smash the radishes with the back of a knife (the thick side of the blade). It’s faster, easier, and somehow tastes even better.

No need to turn the vegetable into mush: a few light taps with a rolling pin or a meat mallet are enough. The goal is just to slightly crack the surface so the marinade can soak inside. It is this technique that gives the marinated radishes a deeper flavor.

So, after smashing the radishes, place them in a deep, wide bowl. Drizzle with soy sauce, add vinegar or lemon juice, garlic cloves, chili, and a tablespoon of oil.

You can also add a bit of honey. The finished salad should be thoroughly mixed and left to marinate for at least 15 minutes. After that, feel free to dig in!
