Ingredients
• 1 cup besan (gram flour)
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped (you can skip one if you like)
• 4 green chillies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
• ½ carrot, finely chopped or grated
• ½ capsicum, finely chopped
• ½ tsp black pepper
• ½ tsp red chilli powder
• ½ tsp garam masala
• Salt to taste
• Water (to make a thick batter)
• 6 slices of bread
• Ghee or oil for cooking

Method
1. Prepare the batter:
o In a bowl, combine besan, chopped onions, green chillies, carrot, and capsicum.
o Add black pepper, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt.
o Gradually add water to make a thick, pancake-like batter. Mix well.
o Take the bread slices and dip each slice into the batter, coating both sides evenly.
o Heat a tawa or non-stick pan and grease lightly with ghee or oil.
o Place the coated bread slices on the pan and cook on medium heat.
o Toast each side until golden brown and crisp.
o Serve hot with green chutney, ketchup, or yogurt and any seasonal fruits
