This video is about Ulundhu Kali. Ulundhu kali is a very healthy and easy recipe. Great for women and kids and also for the whole family.

Ingredients :

Black Urad dal – 1/2 Cup
Seasame oil – 3 Tbsp + 1 tbsp
Karupatthi – 1/4 Cup + 1 tbsp
Water – 1/2Cup + 2 tbsp + 1/4 cup + 2tbsp
Raw rice – 1 tbsp

In a pan, add karupatti and water. Let it comes to boil and once all the karupatti dissolves, filter them and keep it aside. In another pan, take urad dal and dry roast them until nice aroma comes. Keep it aside. Int he same pan,m add 1 tbsp raw rice and dry roast them until golden. Grind both urad dal and rice together into fine powder.

Take a pan, add the karupatti water and bring it to boil. Once it boils, add the dal powder and turn off the stove. Whisk them well. Now add 1/4 cup water and whisk again. Turn on the heat and add 2 tbsp water at intervals. Whisk them briskly.Mixture turns smooth . Now add 3 tbsp of oil at frequent intervals and keep whisking until everything comes together.

With wet hands, take the mixture in hand, you should be able to roll them into ball. Perfect consistency. Serve with more oil and almonds.
